
The symposium will celebrate and highlight the work of your fellow advocates for unaccompanied immigrant children across Texas. Practitioners will present their experience and expertise in light of challenges in today’s legal environment, including legal strategies and best practices for working with unaccompanied children with courage, competency, compassion and creativity. Special guests will offer practical advice on creating a strong record for appellate review, and speak about their successes in building cases from the ground up that have culminated in favorable rulings from the Fifth and First Circuit Courts of Appeals.
