This is the last webinar in the two-part series, “Two-Part Introduction to Asylum Law and Procedure.”
In this webinar, we will discuss affirmative and defensive asylum procedures, including special procedures for unaccompanied minors and detained clients. We will review recent changes to asylum law and procedure, including the asylum regulations implemented in 2020, the Remain in Mexico policy renewed by federal litigation, and the status of “asylum bans” and metering. We will also provide an overview of the protection screening process (credible fear and reasonable fear) for those subject to expedited removal and reinstatement and/or administrative removal.
