This training will expand the first stage of treatment for survivors by expanding assessment knowledge and skills. Social workers, psychologists, and clinicians can play an important role as experts in the field of mental health and the effects it has on immigrant survivors. You have the power to make a tremendous impact by evaluating courageous survivors and presenting a report to immigration officials both in and outside of the court system. In this training, you will learn about the legal systems at play, the role of an expert evaluator, and the clinical tools and strategies you will use for this type of assessment.
