New Research: A Typology for Service Planning Based on Risk and Resilience
In order to better target interventions for the diverse population of homeless youth, policymakers and researchers have articulated a need for data-driven typologies that delineate subgroups with potentially different service needs, based on identifiable risk and resilience factors. Eva Thibaudeau from the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County will share results from a new study that used data from Houston’s survey of homeless young adults to identify distinct subgroups of homeless young people, and what this research could mean for screening and service planning.
System Modeling: Identifying Pathways out of Homelessness
Using the new research, and providers’ own insights, HYN Consultant Courtney Noble will conduct some regional system modeling to help inform the type and amounts of housing needed across the region.
