Boat People SOS offers monthly immigration clinics at the Park Place Regional Library (Houston Public Library). Attorneys are on hand to answer questions about applying for citizenship, getting family sponsorship, renewing your green card, obtaining a student/visitor visa, family law (including divorce, custody and child support), “family preparedness” law (Powers of Attorneys, wills and medical directives), consumer law, and housing/public benefits.
Initial consultations with attorneys are free. Some may qualify for free or low-fee attorney representation based on income or type of service requested.
