Last October’s tragic massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue, which was motivated by anti-Semitism and anti-immigrant beliefs, and reports of rising incidents of violence targeted at immigrants have called us to present this training to help organizations create safer spaces for their immigrant clients. This two-hour (free) workshop presented by the ADL and Houston Police Department, will discuss ways to recognize suspicious behavior and respond to active shooters, ways to recognize and respond to incidents of hate and discrimination, and local and national resources available to organizations on these topics. The training is intended for organizations who are part of HILSC and HCAH, but all are welcome.
