U-Visas: Law and Local Policies.

The Houston Immigration Legal Services Collaborative’s Crime Victims Working Group and the Houston Police Department’s Victim Services invite you to a training on “U-Visas: Law and Local Policies.

Thursday, February 7 from 1pm to 3pm
South Texas College of Law Houston

The training will cover what the eligibility requirements of a U-visa, the application, as well as common grounds of inadmissibility and the U-visa waiver. It will also address the potential ethical challenges of representing victims of domestic abuse and other crimes. HPD’s Victim Services will present their procedures for requesting a certification letter, and review other U-visa request procedures.

1 hour CLE including .5 ethics
