Nearly one in four Houstonians is an immigrant or refugee, and our region has a foreign-born population of 1.6 million people. This short course convenes Rice scholars and other experts in public policy, law, sociology, business, social services and the arts to examine the obstacles and opportunities to implement effective, compassionate immigration policies.
