This webinar will be a practical exercise in how to review and what to look for in a client’s criminal “rap” sheets from a state or the FBI, as well as criminal conviction records from state courts, to determine eligibility for relief and whether inadmissibility or deportability grounds might apply. It will include practice tips on how best to obtain court records, how to spot potential issues that would be helpful for post-conviction relief, and whether any post-conviction relief obtained is likely viable in immigration proceedings.
