Self-Care Grant and Programming
Working with vulnerable populations as a witness to intense suffering as someone who cares deeply can be incredibly difficult. Self-care practices can make the difference in being able to reset and take a step out of carrying other people’s hurt and pain.
Self-care is an intentional action you take to care for your mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. It involves having difficult conversations about when you step in or step out of the work, setting healthy boundaries and being compassionate with yourself not just with your clients.
